Welcome to mLearn2011
mLearn was the first conference on Mobile Learning and is widely recognised as the premiere international conference on learning with mobile technologies and learning across contexts. Each year, it attracts a great number of participants from more than 60 countries representing all continents, and acts as a forum for knowledge sharing and transfer across cultures.
The conference aims to stimulate critical debate on and research into theories, approaches, and applications of mobile and contextual learning; to bring together researchers and practitioners from all over the world to share their knowledge, experience and research in the field of mobile learning; and to create dialogue and networking for knowledge sharing and transfer across the globe.
The conference is now open for submission, and we welcome contributions from academic researchers, developers, professional, practitioners, and educators from school education, higher education, industry, government, international organisations, etc.
It is with immense pleasure that I welcome you to submit your research in this area, to share with us your experiences, your present research work and your predictions for the future which will surely include pedagogic implications and potentials for transforming the mobile society into a mobile community of learners.
We hope to see you in China in October where we will have the possibility of sharing our challenges and successes in this exciting research area.
